Ingredients

  • 1 cup organic coconut milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric

  • big pinch of ground pepper

  • 1 small (1/4 inch) piece of ginger root peeled and grated

  • 1 pinch of ground cardamom

  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon

  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon raw honey (added off the heat)

  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

Blend all ingredients together. Then add to a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer for 10-15 minutes to let the flavors meld. Pour the golden milk into a cup and enjoy!

Notes

  • Let the mixture gently simmer for up to 15 minutes, but not boil.

  • Add some raw honey if you would like a little sweetness

  • You can blend the mixture by hand or in a high speed blender or frother wand for a frothier drink.
